El que véis a la izquierda es uno de los polémicos carteles con los que Austria celebra que ocupa la presidencia rotatoria de la Unión Europea. Es una fotografía de la artista serbia Tanja Ostojic, inspirada en el cuadro que véis a la derecha, obra del pintor francés del XIX Gustave Courbet, “El origen del mundo”.
¿Y por qué debería yo haber posteado esto antes? Porque recuerdo como si fuera hoy (la verdad que hace menos de un año), una de las mejores clases a las que he asistido en mi vida. Fue en la Universidad de Leeds. El profesor nos puso varias fotos de Playboy, varias fotos explícitas de mujeres desnudas, cuidadas en la forma, con todos sus des/encantos al aire. Risas. “¿Esto es arte? Bueno, es sólo porno, ¿no?”
El profesor pasa la diapositiva. Aparece “El origen del mundo”, de Coubert. Bocas abiertas. “¿Y esto? Esto sí es arte, ¿verdad?”
